• To synchronize timer states in real time between controllers and viewers.

Viewer pages are designed to be accessible by anyone with the unique link and do not require an account. Viewer sessions may transmit live timer state and connection metadata necessary to keep displays synchronized. Please exercise caution and do not share viewer links publicly unless you intend for those displays to receive your room’s live timer output.

We engage trusted third-party service providers, also known as sub-processors, to assist us in operating and providing the Showpacer Service. These providers process data on our behalf and are subject to their own privacy policies and data processing agreements with us. Our sub-processors include:

• Clerk — authentication and account management. Processes user authentication data (e.g., email, name).
• Railway — server infrastructure. Processes application data, usage data, and IP addresses.
• Planetscale — database infrastructure. Processes room and timer data and account information.
• Sentry — error logging. Processes error logs, IP addresses, and technical device information.
• Posthog — marketing and analytics. Processes usage data, IP addresses, page views, and feature usage.
• Umami — analytics. Processes usage data, IP addresses, page views, and feature usage.
• Cloudflare — network and hosting infrastructure. Processes IP addresses and traffic data.
• Polar.sh — payment provider. Processes payment transaction details and billing information.
• Resend — email delivery. Processes user email addresses for transactional emails.

We retain account and room data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete rooms from your dashboard at any time. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, typically within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as security logs, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
